    Big Alaska--Who We Are

The USASA Big Alaska Series has helped generations of snowboarders and skiers have fun in the far north through safe, fair and fun contests.  Athletes of all ages and abilities come together to learn new skills, make friends and be a part of the snow loving community.  If you learn to snowboard or ski in Alaska, you are an all-weather, all-conditions athlete and you can go to any other ski resort with confidence.  Big Alaska contests are a great place to start pushing yourself to learn new skills and tricks.  You could qualify to go to USASA Nationals in Copper Mountain and test yourself against the best from all over the Lower 48 as a part of the largest celebration of snowboarding and skiing on earth.

Big Alaska has launched many pro riders and Olympians.  People who got their start with Big Alaska currently in the big time are Rosie Mancari, Brett Moody and Ryan Stassel.  Big Alaska staff and officials are here to help and inspire you:  people like Kelly and Jason Borgstede, Harmony Hirsch, Brendon Anderson, Glen Sterley and me, Alison Sterley.

Big Alaska is always looking for more volunteers too, come join the fun!
